Milled fiber

High-strength, high-modulus carbon fiber filaments become uniform particles after surface treatment, microscopic screening, high-temperature drying, and other processes. Milled carbon fibers have outstanding advantages such as small shape, pure surface, large specific surface area, easily wetted in the resin. These benefits contribute to excellent dispersibility when the matrix property and the carbon fiber performance are largely different in the composite materials. The composite materials using powder as filler have good wear resistance, electrical conductivity, high-temperature resistance, thermal conductivity, antistatic and other functions.

Novcarb can produce average milled fiber length of 50μm, 150μm and 200μm based on  customers’ needs.


Chopped fiber

Chopped fibers are short-cut by high-strength and high-modulus carbon fiber filaments through a fiber cutter. They have many advantages including dispersion uniformity, diverse feeding methods, simple process, and can be applied to composite materials in which carbon fiber filaments are not suitable for (e.g., special fields to improve the thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, mechanical properties).

Novcarb processes 1~8mm uniform chopped fibers according to customers’ requirements. The properties of chopped fiber depend on the fiber before chopping.


Poly-dicyclopentadiene

1.Polydicyclopentadiene engineering plastics
Polydicyclopentadiene (PDCPD) is a kind of polymer with a certain degree of crosslinking formed by dicyclopentadiene through reaction injection molding catalyzed by organic metal polymerization. PDCPD has excellent mechanical properties, excellent chemical resistance, weather resistance and water resistance, excellent electrical insulation, finishing excellence and material has the characteristics of lightweight, low density products, widely used in auto parts, carbon fiber composite materials, medical equipment, entertainment, sports equipment, civilian household building facilities, 3 d printing and chlor-alkali industry and other fields.
2.Polydicyclopentadiene forming
Reaction-injection molding (RIM) is A process that combines A component A with A catalytic active agent and other additives and A component B with A catalyst and other additives to initiate A chemical reaction. The forming process has the advantages of fast reaction speed, low viscosity, adjustable starting time of polymerization and high forming efficiency.
